The Allen Arts Council in Oakdale sponcered their 2nd annual gingerbread contest. Mark Atwood from Atwood's Bakery in Alexandria was the celebrity judge. Several groups, adults, and children entered their best attempt at making the best gingerbread entry. This has become a family tradition for us and one that we enjoy every year. We don't do the houses, we go out of the box and try to be creative. Last year we did a dog house and a manger scence. This year we attempted a Noahs ark and a church light house. We would like to thank the Arts Council for having this fun community event.
