(YPN.co) – Keagan’s Kitchen debuted at the Beulah Davis Community Center in Elton Saturday morning. The kitchen, sponsored by the Community Prayer Group of Elton, is in honor of of town native Keagan Regan, whose life was taken in a crash in October 2011.
In memory of the young man who “had a special place in his heart for children”, according to his family, the kitchen will serve food to children from grades pre-k through 12th grade every other Saturday

from 10:30 a.m. until noon until Aug. 4.
On its first day, the kitchen welcomed approximately 40 children who enjoyed Bible stories, singing and dancing, and walking away with a few prizes from the “Treasure Chest”.
"I'd like to give a big shout out to all the amazing KIDS WHO CAME TO KEAGAN'S KITCHEN TODAY.. I can truly say it rocked... We had over 50 kids and 45 adults who volunteered their time...It was so amazing working with all the children", said Admin Kim Thibodeaux on the official website, http://www.keagans-kitchen.com
"A special thanks to the parents for sharing your children with us today..I love each one...I would like to thank all the people and business who help support the kitchen so it can be run for the summer...Keep us all in prayer for the coming up weekends".
I have to say we had an AWESOME day at Keagan's

Kitchen. We had 58 kids and some were missing from the other weekend. It always makes me happy to see all my babies, it lifts me up with their beautiful smiles.
I would love to give a big hand to all the help today and people who donated their time, money, and food. You will truly be blessed. Also got some awesome news tonight. A very large group of men and women from the Jennings and Hathaway area want to get involved with the help of the kitchen.
Nothing is too hard for my God. Just when it needs to be more and more, people are stepping up to help..TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY", Thibodeaux said.
