Houston will reportedly send a collective of reserves -- Nick Johnson, Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni, and Joey Dorsey -- and a protected 2016 first-round pick to Denver. Denver is sending a 2017 second-round pick with Lawson, according to Wojnarowski.
The Houston Rockets have acquired Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson in a trade, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal will pair Lawson with James Harden in a revamped Houston backcourt. ESPN's Marc Stein reported that the Los Angeles Lakers were interested bidders for Lawson, but the Nuggets liked the offer from the Rockets better.
Rookie Johnson played 9.4 minutes a game this year with the Rockets and averaged 2.6 points. He had limited time with the Rockets during his rookie year.
In the Rockets D league Johnson fared much better. Johnson averaged 18.2 points a game playing 33.9 minutes. He has a very bright future and should earn more playing time next year.
